I like this silly Shakespeare map-thing the RSC have done. I don't know many of the characters on the map, but it does make me want to find out more about them.
This map is a promo piece based on a piece of art called The Great Bear by Simon Patterson
which was the artist's constellation of his own "stars". You can see here:
And if you've never been to England then you might not realize that The Great Bear is based on a diagrammatic map of London's famous Underground Tube network, which was first drawn by Harry Beck
in 1931. If you have visited London, you'll know that the map bears little relation to an actual map of London. Here's a map with all the stations in their correct locations:
Weird, huh? I reckon you could make a map like this for the most famous manga series which would be pretty cool, but it would make more sense to use the Tokyo Metro map, which isn't (ahem!) quiet as famous as London's. Rock on London!
